Terms & Conditions Booking Policy
We appreciate that every cat owner needs to be confident that their cats will be well cared for in their absence and fully encourage new clients to visit Powside Cattery before making a booking. This provides an opportunity for the client to view the cattery and familiarise themselves with the peaceful surroundings, meet our staff and discuss any individual needs that may be required. If booking cancelled within 2 weeks prior to stay full payment will be required. If you collect your cat prior to the collection date arranged, full payment will be charged.

Abandonment

If the Owner fails to collect their cat on the agreed collection date, Powside Cattery will continue to care for the cat and will make reasonable attempts to contact the Owner using the contact details provided at the time of booking.

Reasonable attempts may include telephone calls, text messages, emails, written correspondence, and contacting any emergency contact provided by the Owner.

If the Owner has not contacted Powside Cattery, paid any outstanding balance, or arranged an alternative collection date within 14 days of the original collection date, the cat may be treated as abandoned for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions.

Where this occurs, Powside Cattery reserves the right, acting in the best interests of the cat, to make suitable arrangements for the cat’s ongoing care. This may include transfer to an animal rescue organisation, rehoming through an appropriate organisation, or seeking advice from the relevant animal welfare authority.

Before doing so, Powside Cattery will make reasonable final attempts to contact the Owner and/or emergency contact.

The Owner remains liable for all boarding fees, veterinary costs, late fees, and any reasonable costs incurred during the extended stay or in arranging rescue, transfer, or rehoming.

Non-Payment

All boarding fees and any additional charges must be paid in full before the cat is released from Powside Cattery.

If the Owner is unable or unwilling to pay the outstanding balance on the agreed collection date, Powside Cattery may continue to board and care for the cat at the Owner’s expense until payment is received or another arrangement is agreed in writing.

Additional daily boarding charges will continue to apply during this period.

If payment has not been made, and no suitable collection or payment arrangement has been agreed within 14 days of the original collection date, the matter may be treated as abandonment and the Abandonment Clause above will apply.

The Owner remains responsible for all unpaid boarding fees, late fees, veterinary costs, and any other reasonable costs incurred by Powside Cattery as a result of the extended stay, non-payment, or abandonment.
